Sure, there are a million suggestions on what
the perfect introductory blog post should look like but heck, the whole point I was excited to begin blogging is because there are no rules. Did you hear me, no rules! Something I’m not used to after spending four years typing numerous essays during my university years.
This is my space. This is where I stay up late at night with nothing but a computer screen and my thoughts. This is where I determine what the “perfect” introductory blog post might be. That’s the whole point of having my own personal blog, right?! And that’s why I’m ecstatic to start one! (Notice I started my last sentence with “and”, a university professor would most likely not let that one pass!)
With that being said, I’m going to keep the introduction of myself as short and sweet as possible.
First of all, I’d like to properly welcome anyone that has taken the time to read this– so Hello! I’m glad you’ve decided to join me here and I can’t wait to get to know all of you through this blog!
My name is Malak Choughari. I am originally Lebanese but have lived my entire life in a small city in Canada (proud Canadian right here)! I attended University and obtained my bachelor’s degree in Business: Marketing with a minor in psychology. Right after graduating University, I worked at a credit union for two years as a member consultant (yes, lots of boring paperwork). During this time, I got married to my dear husband and a couple years into marriage found out I was pregnant with my first baby boy.
I then gave birth to my beautiful son and shortly after, we moved to the United States. My son is now 11-months-old and is approaching his first year birthday (I still can’t believe how fast time is flying!!!!) Becoming a mother and learning what motherhood entails has inspired me to start a mommy blog. In these short 11 months, I’ve already learned a lot and experienced plenty. I would like to share my journey through motherhood with you all and I hope you find something within my blog that you may relate to or that may help you in some way.
I am going to end this post with a quote that inspires me on a daily basis;
A meaningful life is not being rich, being popular, being highly educated, or being perfect. It’s about being real, being humble, being able to share ourselves and touch the lives of others.
